The main trial is a multi-use trail that starts near a small lake, but quickly takes you into pine flatwoods. The trail is well marked and easy to follow if you stay on the main loop. The trail is mainly sand, which has been dug up in places by wild pigs, making some stretches very rough and very soft.
Head north from Lakeland on US Hwy 98 to SR 471. Head north on 471. The park entrance is 4 miles and on the right.
